WE ARE
ravekjavÍk

An electronic music and visual arts festival.

What is ravekjavÍk?

Ravekjavík is a festival that, since 2017, has been bringing music and art into post-industrial spaces that are not accessible on a daily basis — reshaping the city of Łódź through raveitalization.

It was founded by Polish and Icelandic artists and producers. Each year, it showcases fresh sounds from around the world — especially from countries rarely represented on the Polish music scene (including Venezuela, Japan, Brazil, Egypt, India, Georgia, Ukraine, and Iceland).

Ravekjavík promotes the work of local visual artists, set designers, fashion designers, photographers, and creators working across visual media. The festival embraces diversity, creating space for artists from underrepresented communities. Through collaborations with cultural and educational institutions, it presents audiences with a wide spectrum of unexpected and distinctive perspectives.

RAVEKJAVÍK MISSION

We believe that culture and art are tools for positive social change. Our mission is to build an open, tolerant, and inclusive environment that brings together diverse communities, promotes values such as peace, love, unity, and respect (PLUR), and responds to the challenges of the contemporary world by fostering sustainability and education.

For years, Ravekjavík has maintained gender balance among its creators.

Since its very first edition, the festival has operated in harmony with its surroundings — making use of local resources and minimizing waste. Guided by the principles of upcycling and recycling, it works with materials available in each current location.
